We never want you to feel overwhelmed by the decisions you need to make about your family’s dental care. It is our job to make sure that your questions are answered fully, and we will provide you with all the detailed information you need to feel comfortable about your treatment.
We’ve shared some of the questions our patients ask most often, but we know you probably have others that aren’t listed here. Please feel free to get in touch with us by calling our office or filling out our handy online contact form.
Dental Exams & Digital X-Rays
Dental x-rays have been used safely for many years. You are constantly exposed to some level of radiation, whether it’s the sun, minerals contained in soil, or even your microwave and refrigerator.
We stay up-to-date on the latest dental treatment techniques and use the most advanced technology. We are dedicated to providing the safest, most convenient options possible, so we use advanced digital x-ray technology at our Eynon dental office. Digital x-rays, also referred to as digital radiographs, give us a detailed image of your teeth that will help us guide you in making important decisions about your dental care. Digital x-rays also reduce your exposure, eliminate the need for traditional films, and are safer for the environment.
How often we need to take digital x-rays depends on your current condition and dental history. For some patients, it’s necessary to take digital x-rays every six months. Others who have no history of problems like decay or gum disease and who see us regularly may only require x-rays every couple years. As a new patient, we may take digital x-rays as part of your first exam to establish a baseline so we can monitor changes to your oral health.
Your safety and comfort is very important to us. We take all the necessary precautions to minimize your exposure by using lead aprons and modern, fast film. You are always welcome to talk to us about your concerns, so please contact us if you have questions or would like to schedule your next dental exam and cleaning.
Insurance and financing are important considerations when thinking about your family’s dental care. We participate with most dental insurance plans in the area, so please call our office if you have specific questions about your insurance. We will take all the time necessary to make sure that you always get the most from your coverage.
Dental insurance can often seem overwhelming, but we welcome your questions, and you can count on us to help you get the information you need!
