The term cosmetic dentistry usually refers to any dental procedure that is used to enhance the appearance of your smile. Dr. Joe Arcadipane has invested many hours in learning about cosmetic treatments like in-office and take-home teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, and dental bonding so that he can bring you the most up-to-date dental care possible.
We know that everyone’s appearance is of great importance to them. When you feel good about the way you look, you can interact confidently with others in social and business situations. No one should need to hide their beautiful smile because of esthetic flaws, and we offer treatments that will transform your appearance.
Dr. Joe has the necessary training, skills, and experience needed to provide effective cosmetic dental treatments with outstanding results. Your cosmetic treatment can be combined with restorative dental treatments allowing us to solve virtually any imperfection.
If you’re unhappy with your smile, please give our office a call. There is nothing our team enjoys more than seeing a happy patient leave our office with a transformed, beautiful smile. A friendly member of our team will be happy to set up a complimentary consultation to discuss all the ways we can use cosmetic dental treatments to benefit you.
Dental Exams & Digital X-Rays
Dental x-rays have been used safely for many years. You are constantly exposed to some level of radiation, whether it’s the sun, minerals contained in soil, or even your microwave and refrigerator.
We stay up-to-date on the latest dental treatment techniques and use the most advanced technology. We are dedicated to providing the safest, most convenient options possible, so we use advanced digital x-ray technology at our Eynon dental office. Digital x-rays, also referred to as digital radiographs, give us a detailed image of your teeth that will help us guide you in making important decisions about your dental care. Digital x-rays also reduce your exposure, eliminate the need for traditional films, and are safer for the environment.
How often we need to take digital x-rays depends on your current condition and dental history. For some patients, it’s necessary to take digital x-rays every six months. Others who have no history of problems like decay or gum disease and who see us regularly may only require x-rays every couple years. As a new patient, we may take digital x-rays as part of your first exam to establish a baseline so we can monitor changes to your oral health.
Your safety and comfort is very important to us. We take all the necessary precautions to minimize your exposure by using lead aprons and modern, fast film. You are always welcome to talk to us about your concerns, so please contact us if you have questions or would like to schedule your next dental exam and cleaning.
Insurance and financing are important considerations when thinking about your family’s dental care. We participate with most dental insurance plans in the area, so please call our office if you have specific questions about your insurance. We will take all the time necessary to make sure that you always get the most from your coverage.
Dental insurance can often seem overwhelming, but we welcome your questions, and you can count on us to help you get the information you need!
We recommend that you bring your child to see us starting around the age of six months, or when their baby teeth begin to emerge. At this stage, we do very little in the way of actual treatment because we want your child to get comfortable with us.
During the first few visits at this early age, our goal is to help your child develop a positive attitude about dental care. Unless he or she is developing signs of a serious dental problem, the extent of work we do depends on how accepting they are. While dental care is obviously important, it is essential that we do everything to make every experience comfortable for them.
It is vital that we monitor the health of your child’s baby teeth because they act as building blocks for proper development of permanent teeth. If a child develops a cavity, we need to fill it as soon as possible. Losing even one baby tooth too early can result in problems as permanent teeth emerge and potentially lead to misalignment or other issues.
At the office of Dr. Joseph W. Arcadipane, DMD, we love working with kids and helping them develop good oral health habits. Our team knows that each child has a unique personality, and we treat them accordingly. You can always be confident that your little one is receiving the highest quality dental care in a safe, friendly environment.
Please contact our office, and we’ll be happy to help you arrange your child’s first visit.
Guided Dental Implant Placement
Replacing missing teeth is important for your oral health and your self-confidence. If you are missing a tooth, you may also have problems chewing or speaking clearly.
At the office of Dr. Joe Arcadipane, we do have options for replacing your missing teeth:
Dental implants are a full replacement tooth that includes an artificial root. This creates a secure, stable foundation for the restoration that will be attached to it. The restoration may be a crown, bridge, or denture, depending on your needs.
Bridges are made up of an artificial tooth held in place by dental crowns attached to adjacent teeth. Until dental implants became popular, bridges were used for many years as an effective option for filling the space left by a missing tooth.
Dentures today are a vast improvement over the artificial-looking "false teeth" your grandparents may have worn. Modern dentures not only restore function, but they also fit better and actually enhance your appearance.
There is no single solution for tooth replacement that is right for everyone. There’s a lot to consider when looking for the best solution that fits your needs. Budget, time constraints, and even lifestyle should all be part of the decision.
If you have missing teeth and are ready to restore your smile, please call our Eynon dental office. We will be happy to discuss your tooth replacement options or to set up an appointment to start your treatment today
