Guided Dental Implant Placement
Losing one or more teeth can be an upsetting and embarrassing experience. Thanks to dental implants, though, you don’t have to put up with the inconvenience and discomfort of missing teeth and a flawed smile.
A dental implant is a standalone tooth replacement that looks and feels similar to a natural tooth. The implant is anchored securely into your jawbone using a titanium root, which takes the place of the real tooth root.
The titanium root is then capped with a sturdy, natural-looking dental restoration like a dental crown. The result is a replacement tooth that blends seamlessly into your smile.
State-of-the-Art Implant Technology
Dr. Joe Arcadipane believes in providing our patients with the most updated procedures and technology available. This supports our commitment to always bring you high-quality treatments that are efficient, effective, and comfortable.
For your complete comfort, we use a guided dental implant system for optimal placement of your implant. Dr. Joe takes a scan of your teeth using an advanced computer program. The system produces high-definition 3-D images and gives our dental team a very detailed view of your dental structure before surgery.
This allows us to design a virtual version of your final crown and plan placement using a digital model of your mouth. A surgical guide is then created for the procedure that will only allow the implant to be placed in the predetermined location. By the time you come to our office for the dental implant procedure, we already know the ideal location for your replacement tooth.
Advantages of Guided Dental Implant Placement
We don’t choose any new technology until we are certain that it will benefit our patients’ comfort and well-being. Guided implant placement offers several advantages over traditional surgical placement:
Comfortable, efficient treatment – Since we can map out placement of your implant beforehand, you spend less time in the dental chair.
Accurate placement — Pre-planning the placement of your implant ensures that we have a detailed view of your smile during treatment.
Less invasive – Since we know where your implant will be placed beforehand, the procedure requires fewer incisions and sutures, reducing post-operative swelling and discomfort.
Safe – With this method of dental implant placement, there is virtually no risk of adjacent teeth and healthy tooth structure being damaged.
